SAM RAO
Sam is a very experienced Hatha Yoga teacher.He has several popular weekly yoga classes in the Bracknell, Crowthorne and Wokingham areas. Sam has taught all over the world and runs retreats on the island of Lesbos in Greece.
He has a unique style of teaching that unites pupil and yoga teacher in an atmosphere of fun and well-being. He teaches with enthusiasm, and brings warmth and clarity to his explanations thus enabling the students to visualise and work with the inner body.
Sam is also well known for his attention to detail and precision in postures, yet at all times encouraging his students to extend their potential and to work through their limitations.
Sam was born in Kampala, Uganda. Both his parents were from India. He was educated in Uganda, followed by High School and University in Vancouver, Canada. He came to the UK in early 1971 when he met and married his wife, Coral. He has two sons, Doug and Ian.

Doug is best known in the UK for his work as an actor. He appeared as Detective Sergeant Stuart Turner in over 100 episodes of ITV's popular police drama "The Bill". He has also played leading roles in theatre with The Royal Shakespeare Company. Doug is also a film-maker. "Jubilee" premiered at the London Film Festival 2009. "War Hero" at the Hollywood Film Festival 2007.
Doug trained as a yoga teacher at the world-renowned Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India. His interest in yoga has taken him back to India on several occasions.
